Community Hacking: Cracking the Code to Vibrant Communities
You probably see brands that people love and wonder what's the magic behind.
I don't know what you think or "building communities", but you should know it goes from growing a loyal customers base, building a culture of excellence or getting your brand to grow organically. The antonym of it is "micro-management" or "spammy advertising". Either you are in business, government or non-profit, you need a community.
Good news: you have all it takes to be a community leader and we have found some hacks to help you start or re-design an existing community.
Communities have the power to move crowds: it brings people to do stuff willingly.

FAQWhat is Communitty Hacking?
This talk is a 30' insightful summary of the science and art of community building, decoded at www.hackingcommunities.com
What is www.hackingcommunities.com?
A knowledge base and booklet to help you build better communities. We are decoding grassroots techniques to help people build better communities in their companies, cities and areas of interest.
Who's behind it?
My name is Lais de Oliveira and I decided to share everything I learned to help people do better at their companies, cities, and circles.
I've lived in Malaysia for the past 4 years, organized over 50 meetups for startups and built different communities on behalf of Startup Grind, as their Africa + APAC Community Director. I've also built my own local communities, from Startup Grind KL to The List KL and MoreGirls. I've worked with MaGIC (Malaysian Global Creativity and Innovation Centre) as a Community Ambassador back in 2014, on it's early years - later, I've also served as Entrepreneur in Residence at their Global Accelerator Program. In 2016, I got my first business (8spaces.co) acquired by FlySpaces.com, where I worked as Malaysia CM and Chief Community Officer.
Moving forward, I'm leaving KL until further notice... So; this meetup is a bit of a community farewell for me. Jom lah and jumpa lagi! :)
